TIP-UP DOORS

Superior Performance

Tip-up Canopy doors from Door Engineering are built to endure the heaviest of wind loads, provide a weather-tight seal and maintain quick yet stable motion. Get maximum access for your facility with only minimal side room requirements, all with the benefit of long lasting dependability.

Speed

Tip-Up Canopy doors can clear an opening at a quick rate of speed. Tip-Up canopy door systems are available up to 130 feet wide by 32 feet tall.

  • 120‘-0" x 30‘-0" Tip-Up Door = 55 Seconds to Open
  • 75‘-0" x 20‘-0" Tip-Up Door = 38 Seconds to Open

This quick operation minimizes heating and cooling losses and also reduces waiting time, increasing productivity.

Vertical Movement

With a Tip-Up Canopy the movement begins with a straight vertical lift, then is guided back into the hangar halfway to allow for the door to stay in the open position even in high winds.

Safety

The one piece Tip-Up Canopy door system has multiple wire rope pick-up points attached to the front of the door framing that are run to the counterweight and floor mounted operator assembly. The wire rope provided has a minimum safety factor of 5:1 at each of the pick up points.

Modular Assemblies

The T-Series Tip-Up Canopy door is shop fabricated in modular assemblies to minimize field installation costs.
